Change of the Conference Venue

We had to change the conference venue to Tokai University’s Shonan Campus (4-1-1 Kitakaname, Hiratsuka-shi, Kanagawa, Japan 259-1292) due to renovations at the Takanawa Campus. As you can see on the map, the Shonan Campus is located on the western edge of Tokyo.

Accommodation

Unfortunately, the university does not have any facilities for accommodating guests. Hon-Astugi is the nearest area to the university with hotels. If you are unfamiliar with local information, please book a hotel near the Hon-Astugi station.

Access from the Airport

1. From Haneda Airport

The shuttle bus service from Haneda Airport to the Hon-Atsugi station takes approximately 75 minutes. The timetable is available at the link below.

2. From Narita Airport

Hon-Atsugi can also be accessed by train using the route shown below, which involves one line change.

The JR Narita Express from the airport to Shinjuku takes 75 minutes. Please read the information about the Narita Express at the link below.

[Odakyu Line]

Disembark from the Narita Express at Shinjuku station and then take the Odakyu Line bound for the “Odawara” station. You can take the Limited-Express train (Romance car), the Rapid Express train, or the Express train. The Express train runs every 10 minutes and takes 50 minutes to the Hon-Atsugi station. Access to the Venue

1) Conference Bus Service

During the conference, bus service is available from Tsurumaki-Onsen station (Odakyu Line, OH37) to the venue. Two microbuses will make the rounds on the following schedule.

  • August 7th, from 13:00 to 13:40 (Pre-conference workshop starts at 14:00)
  • August 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, from 08:00 to 08:40 (Keynote lectures start at 9:00)

Please take the bus at the rotary of the south exit of Tsurumaki-Onsen station.

2) via Local Transport

Tokaidaigaku-mae station (Odakyu Line, OH38) is the nearest station to the venue. It is a 15-minute walk from the station (south exit) to the university campus. Cash only for the local bus. We recommend to buy the IC card on public transportations (rechargeable cards, such as Suica, Pasmo, etc.)

Local buses are also available from the Tokaidaigaku-mae station to the university campus. At the south exit, please take the bus bound for Shimo-Ootsuki Danchi (下大槻団地) and get off at Tokaidaigaku-Kitamon (東海大学北門). It takes about 5 minutes.

University Campus

1) Building 14

All programs of the conference will take place in the Building 14. Please enter the campus through the North Gate or East Gate.

2) Reception

There is a reception on August 7th after the pre-conference workshop. Please come to the Building 19 around 17:30. You can enjoy some wine and snacks.
